These are flap discs with a difference. They have a flat face and edges which overlap the backing plate, helping to avoid gouging. The ceramic abrasive delivers high performance on both stainless steel and mild steel, easily out-performing both aluminium oxide and zirconium equivalents. The coarser grades 40 and 60 give rapid grinding, whilst grade 80 can be used for surface improvement on tough applications, such as millscale removal.
The high performance 40 grit ceramic flap discs will blend and shape MIG welds with ease whilst the flexible edge allows the fillet weld to be shaped to a radius.
Use the FOV X-Tend flap discs for:
Heavy duty grinding on internal weld beads
Increased stock removal and better control when grinding angle welds
