Finit-Easy Wheels Selection Guide
There is a superb range of Finiteasy wheel options within the new Cibo 'Rebel One' range. The following notes are to help you select the best for your process.
Density: In general, the denser the wheel, the more aggressive. Starting at grade 5 for polishing with light material removal capabilities, up to grade 10 for rapid material removal.
Wheel Make-Up
Three formats of wheels are offered:
'SA' is the most widely used general purpose range. Made with silicon carbide abrasive, these wheels are highly effective on stainless steel fillet welds. Use grade 7 for weld removal and grade 5 for a lighter touch and brighter polish. Available in grades 5,6, 7 and 10.
'MA' wheels use aluminium oxide abrasive and give a more rapid rate of materials removal and coarser finish than SA wheels of the same density. They are thus better than SA wheels at removing milling lines and deeper scratches. Available in grades 5-8.
'TA' wheels use structured abrasive for rapid grinding action. Use when fast metal removal performance is required. These are hard wheels in grade 9.
Other Finit-Easy Wheel Options:
Felt Polishing: After pre-polishing with grade SA5, a felt wheel with polishing compound can be used to bring up a bright polish.
Wire Wheel: We stock a stainless steel twisted knot brush wheel to fit the Finiteasy. These are ideal when aggressive cleaning or coating stripping is required, but without significant material removal.
